What is DSRIP and how is it being implemented in New Hampshire?

The Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment (DSRIP) program is one initiative of the Medicaid Section 1115 Waiver program, which is designed to provide states with funding to support healthcare providers transform the way in which they deliver care.

New Hampshire's DSRIP program, Building Capacity for Transformation, seeks to transform its behavioral health delivery system through the integration of physical and behavioral health for "whole person" care, the expansion of provider capacity to address behavioral health needs and the current opiate crisis, and the reduction of gaps in care during transitions through improved care coordination. New Hampshire intends to reform its behavioral health system through a statewide network of regionally-based Integrated Delivery Networks (IDN) that will foster relationships between community providers in order to most effectively address the needs of residents who are living with behavioral health disorders.
